Ulrika Fredrika Bremer, née ''Salonius'' (17461798), was a Finnish ship owner and merchant. She was the paternal grandmother of Fredrika Bremer. After the death of her spouse, Jacob Bremer, in 1785, she took over the business as a merchant and ship owner in Åbo. She managed a large and successful business which, during her time, was regarded as one of the most notable in contemporary Finland, and she as one of the richest Finnish businesswomen of her time. ==Life== Ulrika Fredrika Salonius was the daughter of the official Eric Gustaf Salonius (d. 1748) and Hedvig Magdalena Wittfooth (d. 1752), and married the widowed merchant Jacob Bremer in 1767. Jacob Bremer was the richest business person in Finland and the biggest ship owner in Åbo: he also owned parts in the Åbo sugar factory, the two tobacco factories of the city, the paper factory in Järvenoja, the glass factory in Åvik, the brick factory in Kuppis, the saw mills in Koski and Luvia, in the Swedish East India Company, except several businesses, manors, estates, farms, inns and other. At the death of her spouse in 1785, Ulrika Fredrika Bremer inherited the guild membership of her spouse and the right to manage his entire business estates. She used this rights and became the manager of the Bremer business house. One reason to why she did not leave the business to be handled by her two stepsons or her son, has been suggested to be that her eldest stepson, as well as her own son, suffered from mental instability and lack of business talent. Under her management, the Bremer house preserved a dominating place in Finnish business life. After her death in 1798, the Bremer business was taken over by her son Carl Fredric Bremer (the father of Fredrika Bremer), who sold most of the businesses and mowed to Sweden in 1804. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Ulrika Fredrika Bremer」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
